Session: Brainstorming
Overview
Participants pitched topics and ideas for the conference agenda.
What happened
We did a 10-minute brainstorming session at the start. Most of the good ideas came from that. Instead of us picking topics ahead of time, we let people say what they actually wanted to talk about.
For next time
- Skip pre-planned topic lists, just brainstorm
- Start brainstorming weeks before the conference, not just on-site
- Use collaborative docs that work with lots of people editing (Google Docs is better than HedgeDoc if there’s going to be lots of concurrent editing)
- Make it publicly editable so people can add ideas anytime
